Grace at Baltimore Fashion Week 2008

I’m behind my Canon view finder at the 2008 Baltimore Fashion week and my mind swelled with words from a song as I saw her walking down the catwalk. Here I am supposed to be shooting the event but I pulled my eyes away from the camera to make sure I was seeing this girl in plain sight. As she moved nearer down the catwalk so gracefully, cunningly, indescribably smooth I quickly moved my camera in position and began firing away. Then it hit me like a ton of fabric. That’s Grace, a rising Super Model from Dallas Texas. Now most everyone is familiar with the passionate touching words of the song ‘Amazing Grace’. If you’re not, the first verse begins; ‘amazing grace how sweet the sound’. Those lyrics
captured my mind the whole night when shooting at the War Memorial building in Maryland’s Inner Harbor. And I’m pretty sure Sharan CEO/Organizer didn’t realize whom she chose from the hundreds of models that auditioned. Then I heard my comrades whispering in the photographers pit with excitement ….comes grace… here comes grace… she’s fine man….there she is…she walks so smooth….. She came down that feline avenue in a pink gown by Formal Den... bam!... flashes went off like it was July 4th. I witnessed history on the catwalk. That’s when it came to me, ‘Amazing Grace how sweet thou SIGHT.’! I became a song writer that night after witnessing her elegant piercing walk. She wore every designers line so well I couldn’t decide my favorite one or shot.(as I do with all my shoots) We are all entitled to our own opinion, therefore take a look and you decide how Amazing Grace is.…..Yes, you should have seen her live and if you did then you concur. Concur to the fact she took Baltimore fashion week by storm and unforgiving; well…..by Grace actually.
